How modular ball hockey shin guards work?
Some parts of ball hockey player shin pads last longer than the others. The elastic straps usually last the shortest and then the shin pads are not functional as before. We developed a modular construction system, so almost every part is replaceable or adjustable. You can adjust or replace your elastic straps in a quick moment.
Why does have the knee shell flat spot in the front?
We created stability spot on the knee cap that is flat and gives you more stability during blocking and slides.
Why do ball hockey shin pads need ventilation?
The ReasonY Gladiator 3.0 ball hockey shinguards have AIRFLOW openings, so the fresh air can get to your skin while running. Your muscles will not fatigue as quick as in closed construction shinguards.
Can I adjust the width of my ball hockey shin guards?
The SMARTFLEX system allows the shinguard adapt to your knee and shin. You can adjust the shell for wide or slim fit. The thermoplastic is flexible and does not crack in any weather.
What type of plastic is used for the ReasonY ball hockey shin guards?
We use PE300 and for some models we also use PE1000. We produce ReasonY shin guards in Europe and control the process of injection moulding. Our goal is to always improve the quality of the plastic by adding various materials to ensure that you get the top ball hockey product.
Why the shin pads have foam lining and it is not covered in any fabric?
Closed cell foam does not absorb water compare to fabric. You can play multiple games in a dry and light shin guards. The foam can be also be wiped by various cleaning products that will not harm your skin. After couple of years you can replace the foam for a new one and continue to use the same shin guards.
